History

Back in 2019 we as a Masonic Lodge set a goal for us to organize a NonProfit 501c organization. So we started planning for it. We came of with a mission, which was what we were already doing.

Providing relief, assistance, and aid for disadvantage communities throughout Harris County. In additional we would provide Educational Scholarships to underprivileged students in Harris County and surrounding areas. We also decided to form a separate organization, and we named it James E. Carter Charitable Foundation.

In November of 2022 we received our IRS Nonprofit determination letter, and shortly thereafter. God blessed us to receive our first donation, and this year we received another donation, which allowed us to pass those blessings on today with a scholarship to a student that will be attending college in the Fall of 2023.

Our focus is to provide financial assistance to Master Masons, their widows, and orphans, as well as support the communities in which we live. Your gift helps us to remain true to our obligation of truth, brotherly love, and relief.
